Altered Balsa Box To Store Re-Inkers

Hi Crafters :)

Today I want to share with you guys how I created this altered balsa box. I didn't record a video on this project since it is soooo easy to make. So here I will walk you through what I did.

1. I covered the outside of the box with paper
2. I mixed Gesso with Cape Cod Coral magicals and paint the inside of this box. The reason I did this is because the white of gesso is too bright and cold. I want to add some warmness to the gesso.
3. I sprayed the inside of the box with some glimmer mists.
4. I gessoed the chipboard flourishes and use chalk ink to color them.
5. I stamped the flourishes with text stamp.
6. I applied embossing liquid on the tip of leaves on the flourishes and embossed them.
7. add the rest of the embellishment.

If you want to know how I altered the letterpress block, here is how I did this.
1. I paint the whole thing with gesso then with Antique Linen Distressed Paint.
2. I collaged Tim Holtz tissue paper on the letter "C" and the back of the block.
3. I applied Vintage Photo Distress Ink on every edge you can find on this block  (like around the letter and around the block)
4. I sprayed it with the same glimmer mist I used to spray the box.

Graphic 45 French Country Altered Tags And Box--Part 2 And 3: Altering The First And Second Tag

Hi crafters :))

I have finished two altered tags to be put into the box I created. Here are some of the pictures and two start-to-finish videos on how I made them.
During this long long process of using French Country Collection, I actually started to love this collection. I wasn't a big fan before, but not anymore.
There are a lot of fussy cutting going on in this project. The tags might look simple, but it took me a long time, lol.
I didn't make them mixed media style. Because the paper is already gorgeous enough to speak for itself. Any Graphic 45 paper collections are like that actually.
Anyways, hope you like it :)

Scrapbook Layout: Together We Can Fly

Hi Crafters :)))

Today I want to share a layout I created to enter the ScrapFriends September Color Challenge and Once Upon A Sketch September Sketch Challenge.
This layout is very mixed media style. I used tons of Lindy's Stamp Gang's product and Shimmerz product. Flowers are all from prima. I did some doodling on this page to make it more fun. The brick pieces are from Sacrafter's store. The stamp I used is from Prima Finnabair Vintage Vanity Collection.
The color combo is sooo fun to play around with! I love the warmness the color combo has. It is perfect fall colors. The sketch is simple and elegant. I did my own interpretation on the sketch and as you can see, I changed it up a little bit :)

I have a start-to-finish video on this layout, Please check it out :)
Anyways hope you like my layout.

Here are some close-ups of my layout :))

Sketchabilities DT Project: Sketch #99

Hi crafters :))

Here is my very first DT project for Sketchabilities Challenge Blog. I am so so soooo excited, lol.
I created this layout for Sketch #99. It's shown below. Please join us and play along :)

This sketch is fabulous!!! All the grunginess and layering is just gorgeous! I used some tabs in my layout just like the sketch. But my frame for my photo is crooked to give it an extra layer. I didn't use doily in my layout like it's in the sketch. I used a clock I cut out from Prima Engraver Paper instead. Those paint drips were paint glazes. I mixed glazing medium and Lindy's Stamp Gang magicals to do this.

For the background, I used Golden Extra Coarse Pumice Gel and Golden Fiber Paste. The Pumice Gel can give a stone effect after it's dried. The Fiber Paste gives a very textured paper look after it's dried.  Unlike texture paste, they take color very well. They don't resist any mist or watercolor. Because they are soooo porous, color just slips right in. I sprayed the whole page with this coral and green colors to match the colors in photo.

Product List:

Golden Extra Coarse Pumice Gel
Golden Fiber Paste
Prima Script Pad
Prima Engraver Paper Collection
Shimmerz: Tera Cotta, Olive Branch, Bamboo Leaf.
Lindy's Stamp Gang Magicals: Fuzzy Navel Peach, My Mojito Green.

I did a video on how I created this layout. Please check it out :))

Graphic 45 French Country Altered Tags And Box Part 1b: Constructing The Interior Of The Box

Hi crafters:)

In this video, I will be showing you how I constructed the inside of my box. It is a lot easier than constructing the whole box. The small tag at the back wall of the box acts as a boarder too. This box is a little simple, because its inside will be full of cool and interesting altered tags, lol.
The box is now complete. Now I will start working on altering tags to put in the box.

Inside this box, you can take out the tag at the top and the tag in the little slot at the bottom.

Graphic 45 French Country Altered Tags And Box Part 1a: Constructing The Exterior Of The Box

Hi crafters :)

I am working on a altered box right now for storing altered tags I will be doing later. I used the 12*12 Graphic 45 french country collection. The wood door is from Sacrafter's Zibbet store. In this part of the video, I showed you how I construct the basic structure of the box. I will still do some work in the interior of the box to make it a better storage for my altered tags.

The little booklet is inspired by Anne from Xannero1 from Youtube :))

Hope you enjoy it :))

Scrapbook Layout: Pew Pew

Hi there :)

I did a layout today for Scrap Around The World September Challenge

The mood board is shown below:

This mood board is so beautiful and inspiring. I took some of the element from the mood board and interpreted my way. Since there are many doodling in the mood board. I did a lot of doodling in my layout too. It is my first time combine doodle and layout together. I actually love this idea and will definitely do it in the future too. I love the bold style in the mood board. So I chose to use many different bold colors. The title of my layout is also kinda bold, lol.
This photo was taken when my BF and I were in Texas at a huge lake. This lake is extremely beautiful. Its so blue and so peaceful. This lake reminds me of ocean, and ocean reminds me of bubbles (yea..bubbles..). That is why I drew a lot of circles on my layout to represent bubbles in the water.
Besides ocean, the blue of the lake also made me think about sky. So I put some butterflies (or moths..) on my layout. To make them looks like they are flying in the sky, I drew some flourish design behind the butterflies.
