Winter Night, Starry Night...

Hi friends

Holiday holiday holiday. I love holidays!! Anyways, I love holidays so much I created an art journal page. You can think of it as a christmas tree glowing in a winter snowy night.  You can totally try this art journal page / painting. For those who doesn't celebrate christmas night, you can totally change the tree to other subjects that you love.

I did a lot of dotting on the blue part of the background to achieve that snowy or starry look.
Hope you like this page!

Hi friends!

Holiday season is here and I can feel it in the air!
I created a Thanksgiving card for Prima and I had so much fun!!! Of course this won't just be for thanksgiving. It's usable for the whole holiday season.

You don’t need a thanksgiving paper pad or collection to create a thanksgiving project. I created this card using various Prima product and painted and cut out some of my own embellishments. I really love the memory hardware sequence trim. It just fits holiday mood so well.

- Bella Rouge A4 paper pad - 847319
- Say it in crystal - 560409

Winter Mixed Media Layout

Hi friends!

I am in the holiday mood! Over on Scrap Around The World has an amazing mood board for November challenge and inspired me so much. So I decided to give it a try. This layout is just created for fun. So I didn't make any video tutorials. Hope you like it!!!

This is the layout I came up with with winder wonderland look. The picture below it is the mood board. Doesn't it just put you right into the holiday mood? I love the candy canes in the mood board, but since I don't have any candy cane embellishments, I painted my own and cut them out. The color theme of the mood board is very icy with a touch of red. So I took that color combo and used it on my layout. Also added a touch of yellow to resemble the yellow lights on the christmas tree.So the yellow flowers are like the lights on the layout, brightening the whole project. :)

Head over to Scrap Around The World November challenge and check it out.

Art Journal Page - Deconstructed Dream Catcher - ArTsY MoNdAy

Hi friends

HAPPY MONDAY! Who doesn't love a dream catcher. I really wanted to make a page with some dream catchers so as I was looking at the reference photos, it came to me that why don't I "rearrange" the feathers a bit. Instead of having them hanging down, I could draw them around the circle part. I tried it on this page and I LOVE IT!!

Here is a little tip if you want to doodle on top of acrylic paint. The best pen I found that works the best is Sakura's Gelly Roll pens. Sometimes other type of pen will end up with a clogged or broken nib because it's too sharp. But Gelly Roll pen glide on top of acrylic paint (matte or gloss) effortlessly. They have the BEST white color pen around. No this is not sponsored, lol. I just love finding good product that saves headaches.

I decided to provide a color combo chart for this journal and I hope this can give you some ideas on how to make up your own color combo :) Scroll down for the chart, tutorial, and product list.

Watercolor Autumn Leaf

Hi friends!

Today I decided to share my painting process even though it's just a very simple leaf painting.

Because I really am looking forward to sharing more of my watercolor work, I want to introduce this side of me a little.  My style is a bit modern and more of a clipart type. I have been really drawn this type of style for a long time seeing other amazing artists' work.

I am quite nervous sharing my watercoloring process the first time so I really hope you like it!

My Favorite Prima Product

Hi friends!

Today I am on Prima's blog with a layout I created using some of my favorite Prima product. First of all let's be honest. It is impossible to choose only 8 product out of everything I LOVE. It's a hard choice but I finally made up my mind.

This is a simple layout packed with yummy Prima product. Besides flowers, other embellishments I chose have very neutral colors, which is perfect for me to make my project whatever color I like. So, I used the very vivid Royal Menagerie flowers to add color vibrancy. The photo is of me with a cute puppy I was puppysitting. Since he is the cutest puppy ever, I made the layout in a cutesy manner too. The small flowers, little berries, resin face flower, and the angel wings, really help create the cute look.

I have a video tutorial and product list posted at the end of the post :)
