Today I am sharing a project created for Flying Unicorn using the new and beautiful Graphic 45 Rare Oddities Paper. Everything I used on the tag set is all from the paper. I had a lot of fun fussy cutting the yummy images out of the paper and layer them to create the tag of my own style.
One great thing I always love about Graphic45's paper is that all you need is the paper. You can make everything just using the graphic elements from the paper.
I am soooo drown in the excitement today I forgot to post it here to share this amazing news with you!
My big crafty dream came true!!! I am on the new Prima Design Team!!
HUGE congrats to all the extremely talented artists who also made it!!
Seeing my picture on Prima's blog is like unreal to me. I have to pinch myself so many times before I realized it's really real. I appreciate all the amazing support you guys have been giving me through Facebook, youtube, or my blog. This really kept me going and working hard towards my goal.
Besides the excitement, I really want to say that I know the sad feelings you get when you didn't make the team. I have experienced the same sad feelings many many times since day one. But don't give up on your dreams! Really really don't!!! Work hard for it and you know what?? opportunities will be there for you!!
Anyways! I can just keep rambling on and on and on.
Please don't forget to hop over to their blog and show some love too <3
Today I am up on Flying Unicorn's Forum today with this fun Mixed Media Challenge :) I have been playing with the new Dylusion paint and I am just in love with the vibrant colors.
I love some nice and strong shapes in my art journal pages. So I decided to start an art journal series. This this the first one and I showed some love to the squares and rectangles. Scroll down for the video tutorial on how to create this page.
In this challenge, I would like for you to create a journal page with one simple shape. Whatever simple shape you want. It could be circle, triangle, etc. Lets get mojo flowing and start having fun!
Hope you like it! Pop over to the challenge and play with shapes with me!
Because the watch tower is a relatively smaller project, I want to try to fit in as many details as I can.
I used texture paste to create those brick wall texture. I put on the texture paste first, then drew the brick wall texture on it. Later some darker water color is added to the crevices of the brick texture to really emphasis it.
Today I am sharing a card I made couple weeks ago for Secret Garden and Crafty City as my Guest Designer Project.
I was going to make this card all neutral color but I felt like it needed some color pop. So I put some coral color flower and a bit of yellow color on there.
The circle die cut with stitched edges is from Memory Box, which I got from Crafty City.
All the flowers are from Secret Garden :)

Needless to say, hippies are one of the greatest thing to play with. Not only do they have beautiful details, but really alterable to fit your project. The purpose of this layout is to show that how adding only 2 chippies can add so much more to your work.
I usually paint the chippies white first, then I will go ahead and paint it with colors I want. I always like to apply watercolor or mists on them to match the project color theme. The reason I love adding watercolor or mists is that its more translucent and gives that gorgeous watercolor effect.
ScrapFX chippies are very sturdy making it really fun and easy for me to pile on bunch of medium. Anyways, here is the project and really hope you like it!
