Grungy Mixed Media Scrapbook Layout For Shimmerz

Hi friends!

Today I want to share a layout I created for Shimmerz. When I was thinking about what I want to do for this layout, I knew that I wanted to work on a different surface than just paper. So I decided that I will work on fabric for this layout. I used Tim Holtz Eclectic Element 12*12 fabric squares.

I haven't been making really grungy projects for a while, so I made this layout quite grungy. The paper strips I used to layer is Prima's stationer's desk. the colors coordinate with the fabric beautifully.

Fabric really soaks up the mists and paints, so I applied couple layers of colors and gessoed the area where I want the color to show up more vibrant. To make it grungy, I used Vibez in color Before Dawn to make some area darker so its not vibrant colors everywhere. I also used black ink to do the stamping to add more grungy feelings.

This start-to-finish video will show you how I made this layout:

Product List:
- Coloringz: My Bleeding Heart, Pink Stillettos.
-Spritz: Bed Of Roses
-Vibez: Before Dawn
-Dazzerlerz: Pucker Up Pink
-Texturez: Tidi Widi

Thank you for looking.

Mixed Media Scrapbook Layout For OUAS

Hi Friends :)

Today I am sharing a layout I made for Once Upon A Sketch. As always, we have all kinds of fabulous prize. Come check us out and play alone~!

This little dove in the picture is a poor dove my honey and I found in a public garage. She is stumbling and running into cars and walls. We saw blood on her head, so we decided that we needed to help her. Since she is not walking fast, we caught her and took her home for a night. Gave her food and water, covered her little cage with towel so it's dark there and she will feel safe. The next day we sent her to a wildlife organization so she can get treatment. The vet told us her head skin is totally separated from her head. It's the dry blood that is adhering the skin to the head.

This is not a huge event, but this really changed how I look at helping others. Just like my title, everyone needs love. Had we not caught this dove, she would have died. So now I pay more attention to my surroundings and those who need help.

The leave and flourishes are cut out from my dies from Diemond Dies. I love their intricate dies!! All the stamps are from Prima, but I carved one of them. I carved the square pattern stamp. You will see it in the video, it's the pink color stamp. I used prima's sunrise sunset paper for the layering. And of course, I used TONS of Shimmerz Product. I just love how Shimmerz Product makes everything so beautiful and vibrant ;)

Thank you so much for looking :))

Altered Photo Frame Stand

Hi Friends :)

Today I wan to share an altered photo frame stand I made. I didn't put any photos in there, but I know I will be putting a photo in there for my next photo frame stand. This photo stand is from SaCrafters Zibbet Store, and so is every wood embellishment on this project. I LOVE the heart, the lattice pattern gate behind the heart, and the little doors. Trims used on this project are from The Piece By Piece. The leaf trims are just beautiful!! Look at dangling trim!! That is definitely one of my favorite trim.

Every embellishment is colored using Shimmerz product (mention my name for free product, hehe). Although I love the plain wood look, I also love colorful projects, lol. I also stamped some little text onto the wood wings to give it more texture. It's the quick way to decorate a big plain wood embellishment. For those embellishments that have big plain surface area, just add some colors can be quite boring (i think). A quick stamping will solve that problem.

If you want to see the process, here is the Start-to-finish video:

Mixed Media Grungy Valentines Card With Shimmerz

Hi friends :)

Today I want to share a card for Shimmerz. It is my first project as an educator for Shimmerz and I made it Shimmerz Style.

I don't really do card that much, but since it is the first project for Shimmerz, I decided to do something I don't normally do. This card is very grungy and I love how it turned out.
I used Bed of Roses(Spritz), Pop Art Pink (Vibez), Ruby (Spritz) to spray on a sheet of printing paper and used Caribbean sunset (Spritz) to do some splattering on the paper. And that is how I made the background paper.

I wanted to give it some pop of colors, so I splattered some Key Lime (Shimmerz) and Olive Branch (Spritz) on to the card. To make it grungy, I added Gritty Graphite (Texturez) and splattered some Rock-a-fella Blue (Sprtiz) on to he card

The start-to-finish video will show you the whole process of me making it.

Product List:
---Texturez: Crushed Coral, gritty Graphite
---Dazzelerz: Sour Apple, Spun Sugar, Tutti Frutti
---Spritz: Bed of Roses, Olive Branch, Caribbean Sunset, Ruby, Cotton Candy Pink, Rock-a-fella Blue
---Shimmerz: Bubble Gum, Pink, Wed Wagon, Angel Wings, Key lime
---Vibez: Pop Art Pink, Snow Storm

Mixed Media Scrapbook Layout: Cute Addict_OUAS Feburary DT Project

Hi Crafty friends :)

This is my new DT layout for Once Upon A Sketch February challenge. The theme of this month is "Addict", and of course, I have to pop on my kitty's photo an call myself a "cute addict", lol. The journaling are on the back of this layout. If you watch the start-to-finish video of this layout, you will see me show you the journaling (yup, have to show it so you know I am not lying, hehehe).

To create the background, I stenciled some sun beam like texture around the photo, and sponged, sprayed, and splattered some paint onto the page. I also used some cheese cloth and fish net to add extra texture. I want a sweet and cute theme for this layout, so I used A LOT OF flowers! Of course, to tone down the bright colors, I used white paint to go over all the embellishments.

To make the title letters, I sprayed a white cardstock with some glimmer mists. After it is dried, I stamped down the letters. I cut out the letters and then ink the edges. Hope you like this layout because I sure had a blast creating it!!!

Here is my start-to-finish video on this layout :)

Sketchabilities DT Project: Sketch #107

Hi Crafters :)

This is my DT layout for Sketchabilities Sketch 107. I love simple sketch like this, because I can interpret it in many different ways. This is a very mixed media style layout. I used a circle stencil in the background and I outlined some circles using watercolor pencils in different colors. Then I just wet my brush and go over the watercolor pencil lines to activate the watercolor.
I used lindy's industrial chic on this project, and I just LOVE this set. I did a lot of stamping in the background too to give it more texture. This style of this layout is very similar to my last Sketchabilities DT project. Because I love how my last one turned out and I have to use some techniques I used in that one.
Anyways, I hope you like it and I have a start-to-finish video on this layout if you want to check out.
Thanks for looking :))

Mixed Media Canvas_SaCrafters Bonus DT Project

Hi Crafters

Here is my mixed media canvas I made for SaCrafters. I used metal filigrees, art tile, mesh netting and stencil from the store. I am all about texture when it comes to a mixed media canvas, so I used extra heavy matt gel medium to create the chevron pattern. Then I applied some texture pastes and I used my comb run through the texture paste to create texture. I also adhered down some mesh netting from SaCrafters Store to add different types of texture. At last, I mixed some coarse sand with white acrylic paint to create some coarse texture.

I have a start-to-finish video on how to create the background and please check it out :)

Sketchabilities DT Projec: Sketch #106

Hi Crafters :))

Here is my DT layout for Sketchabilities Sketch 106. This sketch is just GREAT!!! I am able to really let my creativity fly on this layout.
The way I curl the paper is that I first wet the edge of the paper first, and then I just wrinkle the edges and dry it with a heat tool to set the wrinkles in place.
Then I just tucked in some laces between the folds and layers of paper to add more interest.
I am really into tear paper lately although it is not too popular anymore, lol.

I have a start-to-finish video on this layout if you want to check it out :))

Sketchabilities DT Project: Sketch #105

Hi Crafters :))
This is my DT project for Sketchabilities sketch #105, I really enjoyed making this layout. Since Christmas is coming, I thought maybe I can do a Christmas layout. I have a start-to-finish video on this video if you want to check it out :))
For this layout, I want to make a winter theme. So I made many icicles out of snow effect paint and hot blue. I used my white gel pen to draw snow flakes and puddle of snow too. I cut out circles in various shape to represent Christmas tree ornaments and of course I cut some three Christmas trees too.
I really love how it turned out and I think I really achieved the winter look :)))

Sketchabilities DT Project: Sketch #104

Hi Crafters :)))

Today I am sharing a DT project I created for Sketchabilities sketch #104. As you can see, my layout is quite different from the sketch. It is because I got too inspired and carried away.. haha. So instead of the horizontal paper strips in the sketch, I placed my paper strips vertically. I used a lot of faber castell gelatos on this layout. Because their vibrant colors are just too beautiful to resist, lol. I did some doodling in this layout as well :)))
Check out the start-to-finish video on this layout, which will be more clear than I explain what I did.
