Mixed Media Altered Tag/Card Two In One

Hi friends :)

I made this altered tag inspired by the Flying Unicorn Tag/Card Challenge. It's a mixed media altered tag at the front and a card at the back.
I made a photo tutorial on how I made this project.

1. Distress papers and layer them together.

2. Add some trims

3. Use Dazzelerz: Foiled Again and a stencil to add texture

4. Add colors to the background using Coloringz: Peachy Keen and My Bleeding Heart

5.Add more embellishments

6. Paint the embellishments and add some paint splatters

 1. Add a card base

2. Distress paper and add layers

 3. Add a flower and chippies

4. Paint the flowers and chippies, then add more embellishments and paint splatters

Hope you like this tag/card :)
Have fun creating!

♫ Mixed Media Scrapbook Layout Tutorial ♫

Hi friends ;)

Today I want to share a layout I made using all prima goodies!! All the papers, flowers, resin and wood embellishments, trims, stamps, stencils, and bling is all from Prima. lol. Because I want to enter this layout to Prima's September BAP and PPP challenge :)) I am finally brave enough to enter their challenge, lol. I used the sketch of the BAP challenge and the color theme of PPP challenge.

The backgorund paper is their new Epiphany paper. I LOVE the mixed media look of that paper collection!! It's like it already did all the work for me, lol. The paper I used for layering is Engraver paper.  The color theme this month is a bit out of my comfort zone, but oh my after I made this layout, I think I LOVE neutral tone now!!! Now my neutral tone paints are in danger because I will start using them quite a bit.

There is one little technique I want to mention in this post. After the layout is done, I found that my texture is covered by paints. But I love this texture and I really want it to stand out. So I took a little nail file, and filer the top of the texture to get rid of the paint. And the texture once again stands out :)

Anyways, here is the tutorial on this layout, hope you like it :))

Flying Unicorn Mixed Media Altered Paint Palette

Hi friends :)

Today I am sharing this altered paint palette with you guys~!! I used all kinds of goodies from Flying Unicorn's September Kits and add ons. LOVE the romantic pink color!! I don't usually work with pink color that much, well this might be a lie, but at least I think I don't usually use pink as a main color that much, lol.

The new studio 75 paper is sooo shabby so so vintage. I just LOVE them. The flowers are a Manor house creations spray, a Prima song bird vine, and a big Petaloo flower. The black resin key is also a Prima embellishment. The paint palette came with many brushes, and I just adhered the brushes to the background. I got this idea from watching an altered canvas video from Miranda Edney (Msliberty25 on Youtube).

(I shouldn't say this, because if I said it, you would only see the thing I say and not the lovely altered paint palette, but I am still gonna say it.. I seriously think it kinda looks like a girl pac man. hahaha)

Okay back being serious. Here is the tutorial on how I made it.

Thank you so much for looking :)

♫ Mixed Media Layout Tutorial For Shimmerz

Hi friends!

Today I want to share a mixed media scrapbook layout I made using loads and loads of Shimmerz delicious product. The happy man in the picture is my dad. His got scratched on his forehead and for some reason, he found it amusing, lol.

I love using bold and vibrant colors when I am working on a dark background. Because the bold and vibrant colors really contrast the background. I painted couple layers of the Coloringz No Yoking to really get the yellow to be vibrant. And to make it even more vibrant, I painted the area I want the yellow to be white first. So the yellow color really can show its true color.
The paper is of course all from Prima, including the paper strips and paper frames I used for layering. The chipboard circles are from Creative Embellishments. The big yellow flower is from petaloo :)

Here is the tutorial:

Product List:
-Inklingz: Gold as gold, Me & blue
-Texturez: Patina
-Coloringz: No Yoking
-Vibez: Jeni B Bleu

Thank you so much for looking!! mmwah!

♬ Mixed Media Resin Flower Altered Canvas

Hi friends :)

I am so excited to share with you the mixed media canvas I made using lots of flat back resin flowers. These flowers are also available in my Etsy Shop. I got some resin flowers I want to destash. So they are all listed in my Etsy Shop with very affordable price :)

I played around with string gel and pouring medium on this canvas. They resist watercolor so well and creates such a beautiful background.

Here is the tutorial with voice over. I will explain step by step on what I did in this video:

Mixed Media Art Journal Page: Beautiful Mess

Hi Friends:)

Today I am sharing a mixed media art journal page I created. I played around different medium and their properties. First I used heavy gel medium and stencil to create some texture. The heavy gel medium will resist the mists I put on there. The mists will just settle around the texture and created a defined look. However, using thicker paints like Shimmerz paint pots will color the resist and created colored texture.  I wanted to create a smooth center focus point, so I used texturez and dazzlerz (or any other texture medium is good too) to smooth out the center. The thick texture product will fill in the background texture :)

Anyways, here is the tutorial.

Thank you so much for looking <3

Mixed Media Layout For OUAS

Hi friends :)

Time for the new challenge on Once Upon A Sketch!! This month you can use whatever theme on your layout, yayy~! I made this mixed media layout using ton of chippies, prima wood icon, and prima resin. And of course, lots of Shimmerz Paints :)

The Inklingz I used are Good as Gold and Me & Blue on the embellishments. I also used Spritz Sapphire, and Vibez Blue Jeans to spray the background.

I haven't used so many embellishments in one layout before, lol. And I love how it turned out, maybe I will go embellishments crazy too for my future layouts?

Anyways, hope you like it and here is the tutorial:
